Macardi, born Eldon Houston in Jackson Town, Trelawney was no stranger to music from a very tender age. He was introduced to music by his mentor and older brother’s involvement in the music industry. At school, Macardi always found himself beating his hand on his desk, and deejaying lyrics from some of his favorite artists. At the age of nine, Macardi wrote his first tune and after leaving basic school to attend an all ages school he entered contests and won them all; and he has continued to write from that point. After reaching high school, Macardi took his talent more seriously and decided to pursue it, and he continues to reach higher heights with his musical talent. Macardi was raised by his mother along with one other sibling, his older brother, who was his greatest influence in starting his musical journey. Other influences stem from the likes of Buju Banton, Shaba Ranks and Bounty Killa just to name a few. Now with the development of his own unique musical style, Macardi is a force to be reckoned with.
